Hey Everybody -
Well this has been an interesting last couple of weeks. It has been
very busy, so a quiet weekend is going to be really welcome. We will
have a movie on Friday, and the dance on Saturday. This gives
everyone a chance to rest up (editor's note: "because it is
tiring work moving 32 golf carts at 4am") because after that
we have some busy weekends planned again.
Next weekend we are honored to host a wedding. Sarah and Brandon
will be making it official with a nudist wedding. The nuptials will
take place around 1:00pm with cake and a small reception in the barn
afterward. This is something to think about - the little girl we all
know and remember is getting married.
On June 14th we will be hosting the summer's first volleyball
tournament which is always a popular event. Rick has been working
very hard at getting the pools ready for the 100+ participants. We
will have a sign up in the barn. It is open to anyone who wants to
play, so if you enjoy volleyball sign up and you will be on a team.
We will do like we always do and just do a blind draw for teams.
The annual convention is going to be held at Oak Lake Trails in
Oklahoma from the 15th of June. Armadillo hosted it last year, and
as many of you know, it is a lot of fun so we encourage our members
to attend.
Before you know it we will be having the Fourth of July celebration.
With the holiday falling onto a Friday this year, we will have many
activities planned for this long weekend. It will definitely be a
good one. (Ed's note: Could some of the creativity and energy
displayed recently be put to good use and actually do something
positive for the camp?)
On another (same?) note we did investigate the golf cart heists on
Sunday night and all the participants are truly sorry for any
inconvenience this may have caused anyone. It was meant as a joke
and in no way wanted to offend anyone in any way. It was something
that sounded like a good idea when you are sitting around and had
been "overserved". It was just a prank. It was an awesome sight to
see 32 golf carts all lined up next to each other and we do have a
picture of it to publish in the bulletin. Again we do apologize for
this and assure everyone that it will not happen again.
One more note to relay to everybody: I just talked to the mechanic
and the backhoe should be out here and ready to go to work in the
next week or so. I have been asked several times if we sold it on
EBay and the answer is no.
Have a great week everyone,
The Staff at Armadillo Resort
