Hey Everybody,
Well we did it, this past week we hosted the annual AANR-SW convention and it was a very big success. From the feedback that I received there was a good time had by all. If you did not get a chance to attend it this year we have the honor of hosting it again next year, so mark your calendars and plan on spending the week with us. We would like to thank everyone who helped us with making this whole thing possible. Without you we could have never been able to pull this off. Now that we are past that we can look forward to good things to come. One of them is this weekend is going to be the 4th of July celebration. On Saturday we will be having a BBQ cook off. The cooking rules are that there will be two categories. The first is for brisket, and the second for ribs. We ask that each contestant bring up their entries by 5pm so we can do the judging. Which ever you prepare we would like for you to donate as much of it as you would like because at 6pm we will be doing a dinner in which we use the meat as the main course. Armadillo donates all the fixings and dessert to raise money for the AANR-SW youth fund. Since we are hosting the convention, all the money will be used here next year. With everything being donated we are only charging $5.00 per person for dinner. Those of you who enter the contest, will not be charged for dinner. At the dance on Saturday night we will announce the winners and present them with a nice prize. On Saturday night just before the dance we will be having a fireworks display. After that Donnie can kick it into high gear and we will have a dance for the rest of the evening. July is going to be a busy month. If you are not able to attend, go ahead and make plans to come on out any weekend. We promise you will have a good time. Have a great week everyone, The Staff at Armadillo Resort |
